Who Am I?

Glenda is a highly experienced Trauma-Informed Body-Oriented Coach and High-Performance Coach with over seven years of expertise in guiding individuals through life challenges big and small. Specializing in navigating loss, health crises, burnout, life transitions, and new starts and helping people enter post-traumatic growth, Glenda empowers Fresh Start guests to connect with their purpose and values and care for themselves deeply. With a unique approach that fosters healing from the inside out and from the outside in, Glenda is dedicated to helping people overcome adversity and thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Glenda brings a wealth of training and expertise to her coaching practice. She began her health journey in her twenties with specialized training in Nutrition and Herbology. Then she was certified as an Esthetician from Sir Sandford Fleming College, where she earned the top esthetician award. Her focus is on helping people care for themselves in new and meaningful ways.

The gift of 12 years of conversations with esthetic clients has enriched her understanding of human resourcefulness and beauty. Glenda firmly believes that every individual is inherently wise, resourceful, and whole and that one’s past does not dictate one’s future.

With a longstanding interest in health and well-being, Glenda gained extensive experience coaching police officers who were in a health crisis.

She is a certified High-Performance Coach™ through the High-Performance Institute and holds ICF-approved certifications in Trauma-Informed Coaching from Moving the Human Spirit and Body-Oriented Coaching from The Somatic School in London, England. The Somatic School training draws from Hakomi, Focusing, Gestalt, Organic Intelligence®, systems theory, polyvagal theory, and wisdom traditions like Taoism and Buddhism. A lifelong learner, Glenda dedicates special time each year to deepening her knowledge in areas that benefit both her clients and her personal growth journey.

Glenda lives in the Comox Valley with her husband, Lorne, and her cat, Pippy. She has four adult children- two of her own and two bonus! She loves the outdoors, especially hiking and skiing. She enjoys reading, organizes a book club, and makes time for painting by numbers, films, and gazing at whatever vista is in front of her. She is known for her “dark” sense of humour and ability to see the irony in life.
