I chose what, I felt, gave me the best, immediate, and once and for all it’s time to quit smoking. And I’ve done that. And I have confidence that I will remain smoke-free.”

Physical Effects of Smoking. The longer I smoked, the more it impacted my health, in more ways than I even knew. I used to being the Marine Corps for nine years and I used to enjoy running every single day. And with smoking, I wasn't able to very often. Constant chest tightness and coughing and recurring bronchitis. Those are just some of the some of the physical effects of smoking for me.My oxygen levels have increased and something simple like my pulse and in less than two weeks went down to below 60 per per minute and my blood pressure has decreased, too. I've gone on hikes, 4-5 miles and longer around the area, and I I can feel my breath and my strength and my lungs returning. I feel it almost every single day getting better and better.
Cough: I fully expected to cough and maybe hack up a lot more of the the different tars and poisons and chemicals that smoking puts into our lungs. In all the frightness i expected that to happen any day.I didn't experience much coughing or hacking or congestion. It hasn't happened. I can only attribute that after talking with the counselors and the specialists here that the multiple detoxification processes they have here help this with a more natural process of getting rid of all the chemicals and poisons and tars and toxins within our body.
Unsuccessful attempts to quit:No withdrawal symptoms:
I've tried that over the 30 a half a dozen times where I got serious like this is it I picked the date and whether it was wearing the patch or taking the Nicorette gum, or even some of the electronic cigarettes, the vaping. Champix, that was taken of the market… I tried them all and the fact of the matter is I wasn't successful in any of them.I am amazed at the techniques they have in place here. I'm simply amazed in a short amount of time what I I've gotten out of this program…I totally expected about a week of actual withdrawal. I didn't have any of that. From the mental aspect of smoking that long, I I'm still working through that but as of today, it's been 13 days since I had my last cigarette, and I feel terrific.”
